East Hanover, NJ Scott Conversion

The East Hanover, NJ Fire Department has begun converting to the state-of-the-art Scott AP75 SCBA. In April of 2012 Company President Matthew Manfredi performed end user training with the leaders and members of the East Hanover FD. The training covered topics including use, deployment and basic maintenance of their new Scott SCBAs.

In addition to providing breathing air to firefighters in hazardous environments, the new Scott SCBA also offers warning systems and new technologies which can aide in an effort to find a downed firefighter.

The new Scott SCBAs include Heads Up Display ™ modules, which display the remaining air capacity to the firefighter at eye level; Integrated PASS devices, which activate manually or automatically in the event that a firefighter is in need of assistance; and Pak-Tracking capability, which, when used with the Pak-Tracker ™ wand, can allow rescue team firefighters to rapidly and efficiently locate and remove an injured or downed firefighter from a hazardous environment.

AAA Emergency Supply looks forward to continuing to work with East Hanover FD and their leaders in the Scott Conversion and future projects.
