In keeping with their program for worker safety, North Castle Water Department under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent Sal Misiti has instituted a gas detector program. The Ventis MX4, four gas monitor with pump, helps to evaluate potential dangerous situations. With the added function of the calibration station, crews can ensure accuracy and maintain documentation. Similar programs are being implemented throughout the region with the assistance and guidance of AAA Emergency in municipalities such as Ossining (Highway and Water Departments) and Greenburgh.

Greenburgh Technical Rescue has a similar program for their Confined Space Rescue Team. The Ventis MX4 gas detector and V-Cal Calibration station provides an excellent combination of Industrial Scientific products ready and accurate to keep first responders and municipal workers safe.
