Peekskill FD Converts to Globe “Who Says You Can’t Go Home?”

Jon Bon Jovi and Peekskill, New York FD are playing the same song. Peekskill FD, after careful evaluation has come back to the Globe Manufacturing family of turnout gear. The department has recently specified and ordered 20 sets of Globe-Cairns Reaxtion™ turnout gear from AAA Emergency Supply. The gear will include such specification as Advanced Nomex® shell, Caldura® thermal liner, and the new Crosstech™ G Series moisture barrier.

Chief Varella and his Assistant Chiefs also equipped the fire department with RIT Personal Escape Systems. The new pocket pack systems with Kevlar webbing and the FIRE AL 2 descender will provide their firefighters a means of escape if they become trapped in a fire. The RIT system also brings the department personnel into compliance with New York State Laws.
