Clifton, NJ FD SCBA

In 2002 AAA Emergency New Jersey Sales Manager Ken Kiel, worked with the Clifton, NJ FD on a milestone upgrade of their existing SCBA to a standardized fleet of 1997 edition Scott 4.5 SCBA. Now 11 years later, Ken has teamed up again with the Clifton FD to bring them the latest upgrades to their Scott SCBA. The Clifton FD has successfully upgraded their fleet of Scott SCBA to the Scott 4.5 Heavy Duty Wireframe 2007 Edition SCBA. The SCBA includes all new electronics, Heads-Up Display, and Pack Tracker Technology to aid and assist in locating a downed firefighter in the event of an emergency. Both purchases were made through a Federal AFG Grant which was awarded to the department.

Throughout the month of February, Ken held several interactive training sessions with Clifton Firefighters to train and familiarize them with the new additions and changes to their SCBA. The 2007 Edition SCBA has several similarities to their former SCBA; however, it also comes with several new additions, which can improve firefighter safety when implemented properly.

AAA Emergency looks forward to a continued working relationship with the Clifton FD and all of their members. Special thanks to Chief Vincent Colavitti, Deputy Chief Mike Allora, Deputy Chief Mike Sauer, and Captain Brett Blake.
